The Kipping Family

Today, Paul and Talisa Kipping are the proud parents of four children, Sylus 11,  Xavier 8, Seth 4, and Ayala 3.

A couple of years ago, Paul and Talisa felt strongly that they wanted to adopt a child to grow up with their two biological sons, Sylus and Xavier.  Soon after, siblings Seth and Ayala entered their family as foster children.  With only one day to decide on the adoption, all the family members weighed in, with the older two brothers eager to welcome Seth and Ayala.

Seth is “a gentle soul,” who loves his teddy bears and being outdoors.  He

needs daily therapy at home, and Talisa has been proactive in searching for the best treatment options for him.  “I see so much change to the good in Seth,” she says.  “There is so much potential – it makes all the difficulties easy.”

Ayala is a tiny fireball, according to Talisa.  She is an energetic, athletic child who knows exactly what she wants and will articulate her wishes strongly.  The three older brothers all spoil her, too.

In Talisa’s words, “The best part of welcoming these two children into our family is that it makes you grow as a parent and as a person.  We couldn’t have learned [what we have] and [become what we are today] without the difficult challenges.  Getting to know my children and working together as a family for the same purpose is a powerful thing.”
