Karla is a spunky 16 year-old. She is currently in the tenth grade of
high school, where she is committed to doing her best to succeed in
academics in preparation for her future life. She is bilingual in both
Spanish and English. Karla uses her gifts and talents in volunteer work
and participation in community activities. Last year, Karla was president
of her 4-H Club. She successfully raised two championship pigs as part
of her commitment to caring for the environment. As a 4-H leader, Karla
has demonstrated her participation in a community of young people across
America who are learning leadership, citizenship and life skills. Karla
has compassionately volunteered to work with children and the elderly.
Karla enjoys the outdoors, particularly spending time in the park. She
loves pizza and spending time with friends. Four of her younger siblings
have either been adopted or are ready to be adopted. Karla values family
and yearns to be part of a permanent family.
