Donna is a shy and soft-spoken 15 year-old, tenth grader. She likes her
art program at school, especially painting with watercolors. She dreams
of going to college and wants to work either with foster children or in
a daycare setting.
“I like to help people,” she explains with a sweet smile.
Donna actively participates in the Youth Action Team through Solano County
Health and Social Services. Her favorite pastimes are hanging out with her
best friend, talking on the phone and listening and dancing to hip hop and
R&B music. She has her room decorated with posters and pictures of her favorite
singers. She has attended summer camp for the past few years, which has been
a very positive experience for her.
Donna remains optimistic and hopeful about her future. She would thrive within
the structure of a nurturing family where she would get the attention and support
she needs as she grows into adulthood. She would love to be part of a younger
family with lots of siblings, both younger and older. Her beautiful eyes grow
soft when asked what makes her happy. “Being with a family,” she whispers.
