Dave is an active and energetic 8 year-old boy who enjoys spending time
outdoors to hunt and study insects. He is especially fascinated with his
Preying Mantis, which he keeps in a container and feeds himself. He is a
bright and very articulate boy who loves to talk about his passion for
insects and readily shares his extensive knowledge. He also is an avid
reader who is fascinated by royalty, especially knights and Egyptian mummies.
Dave likes school, especially mathematics. ”Fractions are pretty easy,” he
shares with a big smile. His creativity, imagination and strong interests
make him popular with his classmates.
At home, he also likes to play by himself. Chores are not his favorite activity,
especially not vacuuming and dusting. He does like to cook, especially his
favorite meal, Spaghetti and Meatballs. “I love to smash the tomatoes, put the
regular sauce on them, and then stir and stir,” he says.
Dave would thrive being part of a young family, and is open to siblings. He also
would like a large yard with lots of plants and hopes that his parents will hunt
insects with him. And oh, yes: “I do not want a father with a beard,” he adds.
